How to use your new classroom

Your upcoming course has been outfitted with a new classroom design. This design was created to resolve some of the biggest concerns we’ve gathered through feedback from hundreds of Walden students and faculty.

We’re excited to introduce you to some of the changes you will experience when you login. We may even occasionally ask you to share your thoughts as we continue to improve upon the classroom design.

We hope the enhancements improve your classroom experience, here are some the recent changes you’ll see...

The first piece of navigating your new classroom is the Header Bar. Because each week of your class is contained on one vertical scrolling page, this navigation bar links to each section so that you can quickly jump to where you need to be without wasting time scrolling and searching.

On Mobile: Site header navigation will not change much except that in order to see a list of the page’s anchored links, you must tap on the purple bar to see all options.

The second piece of navigation is the sidebar menu. When you click the ‘Menu’ button on the far right, the sidebar will slide out and present a second list of navigation links. The list includes links to your course overview, syllabus, learning resources, a quick link for getting back to blackboard, and all of the other weekly class modules. To close the sidebar menu, click the X in the upper right-hand corner.
